Competition & Events

Alpine racing, reining, rodeo, and shotgun sports.

Competition photography demands a different kind of attention. Whether it's a horse locking onto a cow, a skier passing a gate in a fraction of a second, or a shooter calling for the clay, the moment doesn't wait and the light rarely cooperates. What draws me to it is exactly that pressure: the requirement to be ready before the moment exists, and to find the image inside the chaos.

I've worked alongside athletes and competitors across reining and rodeo arenas, alpine ski races, and the shotgun range, from regional events to elite-level competition. Whether it's the technical precision of a sliding stop, a GS turn, or a clean break on the clay, my focus is always on what separates one frame from the rest: the edge, the expression, the weight of a split second.

If you're a competitor, a team, or an event organizer looking for high-quality competition coverage, I'd welcome the conversation. I'm available for bookings throughout the season and can work with a range of timelines and deliverables.
